Check out our gift boxes, Borage Frame Honey, beeswax candles, and wax melts
Why not try one of our new gift boxes or a full Frame of Borage Honey for that honey lover in your life? Gift sets range from one jar of honey of your choice with an artisan beeswax candle, two jars with a candle or a set of three jars.
We now have a local artisan crafting candles and wax melts from our beeswax. The candles are in various sizes, seasonal designs and prices and the wax melts are just £2 each or £5 for two with a ceramic burner included.
Natural sweetness from the border country
Hedgeley Honey aims to produce Northumbrian honey from the available nectar sources in the county sustainably and practically. The extraction of this honey receives minimal heat and processing in its passage from the hive to your table.

Northumbrian honey – pure and natural
In season, we sell comb honey. If you don’t want wax with your honey, try our set honey. We give this the bare minimum of heat and processing. Nothing gets heated to more than 40 °C for extraction or bottling. It has not been treated to pasteurisation levels, which is 72 °C.
The bottom line… we want to provide you with the best quality, flavoursome honey with as little meddling with the bees’ work as possible!

Where to buy our honey, honey mustard and candles
You can buy our honey, honey mustard and products at selected North-East stockists and at our regular and one-off event market stalls (such as county shows) in the region. The beeswax candles are available at our market stalls and online in gift boxes. PLEASE NOTE – we no longer take orders from our online shop. We have smart van livery, along with our sister company Northern Ark Nursery. The nursery is just outside of Longhoughton, Northumberland. It specialises in unusual and rare hardy herbaceous perennials and herbs grown peat-free on site – you can be sure they’re tough!

Healthy honey with a low carbon footprint
Ian has many years of experience in beekeeping and is a member of the Alnwick and District Beekeepers Association. Here’s the full list of our stockists with links to their websites.
Most of the honey sold in supermarkets comes from multiple sources. Often pasteurised and processed, you don’t know what you’re buying or where it originated. Thankfully, you know precisely where our honey has come from! Buying locally produced honey such as ours means cutting your carbon footprint, which is good for all of us.

Having bought a jar of your honey in Rothbury I was hooked. It is delicious honey. I have subsequently ordered 4 jars and look forward to this and future orders. Thanks!

I regularly walk the dogs around a lake at Hedgeley. I was fortunate to come across some local honey! Great price too.

I have just discovered your flower honey. It is delicious. Just as I like it, on the comb and not too strong.
A. Cater
I bought a jar from a deli in Wooler when we were on holiday and it was delicious. I was so relieved to find that I can order online from you.
